(Alice på hajk i Tekapo)
 
Nu har jag lämnat Sydön och är på Nordön igen. Efter Wanaka åkte jag till Queenstown, Omarama, Twizel, Tekapo (där jag jobbade i 10 dagar) och Christchurch. Sedan tog jag färjan över sundet till bästa Wellington där jag spenderade helgen med fina vänner. I tisdags var jag i Taupo, inte mitt favoritställe men det fanns en jättefin flod som rann bredvid staden. Glasklart vatten, iskallt och vackert överallt. Inga bilder därifrån dock eftersom jag tappade min kamera på en buss och företaget tycker att det tar 10 dagar att ringa upp chauffören för att fråga ifall han hittat den. Mina förhoppningar på att få tillbaka den är små. Så på lunchrasten igår (som vi fick av den dagens busschaffis) så gick jag in i en butik och köpte en ny! Action. Det verkar bra, ska bara hitta på-knappen haha.

Efter Taupo åkte jag till Hamilton, där jag är nu. Med Hamilton som bas åkte jag idag till Matamata (Tour of Hobbiton!!!) och imorgon åker jag härifrån till Paeroa där jag ska wwoofa. Efter det ska jag ha roligt och bila runt lite med några vänner (observera lite; äventyret håller på i 1,5 dygn) och sedan åker jag till Auckland och åker flygplan hem till Sverige! Hejsanhoppsan!
 
 
Tekapo var så vackert, sjön var turkos och gick man en liten bit utanför byn (en promenad på ca 5 minuter haha) så möttes man av Sting-sången Fields of Gold.
 
 
Rewind lite så hamnar vi i Queenstown. Där åkte jag till Glenorchy och red på häst! En mycket glad (och lite nervös) Alice.
 
 
När jag tittar på det här fotot så känns det omöjligt att det finns en så vacker plats och att JAG av alla människor varit där. Men det här kortet tog jag på bilresan mellan Queenstown och Glenorchy. 
 
 
Fina katten Frank som ville sova i min säng när jag var i Omarama. Omöjligt att motstå en så gullig katt, så där sov han tills 4 på morgonen då han trampade mig i ansiktet och ville ut.
 
Såg inte så mycket (inget alls faktiskt) av Omarama för det var så kallt och regnigt och hostlet var så remote att jag inte kunde ta mig därifrån. Det gjorde dock inget för det var världens bästa hostel. Tony är en pensionerad mjölkbonde som tog mig till bondgården (som hans son nu mera äger) när det var mjölkdags så jag fick se alla korna mjölkas. Han berättade om hur svårt bönderna i Nya Zeeland har det och när vi kom hem till hostlet (som ser ut som någons riktiga hus, bara med fler rum) så spelade han piano för mig. Urmysigt och så himla trevligt. Kändes som att man var på besök hos sin gamle farfar.

I Christchurch hade de århundradets storm (bokstavligen) när jag kom men dagen efter vart det fint väder igen! Och tur var väl det för då skulle jag på Edoras-tour! Det var världens vackraste plats. Eller.. en av dem i alla fall!

Vill också meddela stolt att jag kände igen platsen som där Helms Deep var inspelat också (inte alla battle scenes, men vyerna). Så jag frågade guiden ifall jag hade rätt och ja! Han hade glömt att nämna det haha. 
 
 
Med Edoras (Mt. Sunday) i bakgrunden och Aragorns svärd på axeln - jag kan villigt erkänna att jag kände mig pinsamt glad.
 
Nu ska jag sova (utan katt tyvärr) för imorgon bär det av till Paeroa och wwoofing, dvs. slut på sleep-ins!
